HAS THERE EVER BEEN A SITUTATION WHERE YOU WERE FORCED TO HIDE A INTERRACIAL DATE OR FRIEND BECAUSE YOU DID NOT KNOW HOW YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WOULD REACT?

I never allowed anyone to dictate who I choose to date and would not deal with a man that did, I will not be some man's secret. If you cant be out in the open with me then scram!

I didn't have an issue until I moved to the DC tri state area. Although I thought that this area would be more progressive I've found that the women of color around here turned their noses up most often when it came out that I dated a white guy.

I found this odd for two reasons: 1) It's 2008 and 2) There is a serious shortage brothas in this area so their dislike of my dating practices is puzzling.

I've met one woman after another in this area who refuse to interracially date that will either share a man or hang out with the girls as a dating supplement.

LOL..There have been a few times that I am sure someone would have wished I had hidden some of my BFs.But I have never dated anyone because of what someone else thought..and never hidden them for it either. If someone I know is truely a friend..and truely cares about me..what is good for me will be fine with them.If not..then the hell with them..at least i have my boo.

No I have never have hade this happen, but I did once get wierd looks from my family when they saw me with a female of the same race... they have always seen me with someone of the opposite race and it was shocking, LOL I never let them know she was just a co-worker....

NEVER...!!!
i always let them in first and i waited around the side of the house for about 15 minutes to a half hour...make sure no one came flying out ... head or feet first.... they were always good to strangers and newcomers...

my way of making sure i wasn't gonna get my ears blown off... or other body parts...
i called it 'priming the welcome wagon'....

Never. I guess it's because I grew up in a culture where mixed race couples and families were the norm.
