Meet up at a museum or art gallery for a cultural outing. After have a nice meal at a good restaurant for stimulating conversation and to get to know each other and see if we are compatible. I also enjoy a good intellectual exchange and someone who can make me laugh.

Or, climbing trees and throwing bran cereal at people from the higher branches. Followed by lots of conversation about something insane. Possibly designing imaginary religions, governments, or languages, or speculating about Spock's personal life, sushi and gerbils, or suchlike.
Museums are ok too, though. So long as they're not too quiet and echoey so that our mockery would annoy people. Bookstores are also good places to go. Making fun of the self-help and romance sections is always a good time.

I really enjoy dates that are focused on activities such as visiting a museum, zoo, or even an art gallery. First dates come with so much pressure. I'm a good conversationalist, but having natural conversation starters on hand helps relieve the pressure. Just a thought...
