Go out to a nice dinner and maybe a movie .. I'm very romantic and live to cuddle and watch a movie as well..

I'd say going to eat and get to know each other, then if things go well we could go do find something else to do after that.

The reason I prefer dinner to drinks on a first date is because I see that as a bit of an investment, I think I am worth the time it takes to have a meal, talk, banter, small talk, deeper conversation if potential exists between two people. I think you know when you are being your full self around a person and you feel immediately at ease. This can surely happen over drinks too, or a trip to an art museum, or on a bike ride or city stroll or whatever. I don't think the location of a first date or what you're doing together matters as much as the company/chemistry (little cliche, but that feeling is something that exists) does.

A nice intimate dinner where it is quiet enough to share , , yet public enough to feel secure. Dinner followed by perhaps a ferry ride , or a helicopter ride ,something different enough to generate an feeling of excitement , yet laid back enough to just talk and share
